Job Description

Provide specialized physical therapy services in a K-12 school setting, supporting students musculoskeletal and motor development to enhance their educational experience. This contract position requires a California Physical Therapy License and offers a consistent schedule of 30.5 hours per week over 5 days, serving school-aged children from kindergarten through 12th grade.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate, develop, and implement individualized physical therapy plans tailored to students needs.
  • Collaborate with educators, parents, and healthcare providers to support student progress.
  • Monitor and document student outcomes and adjust therapy plans accordingly.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable state and federal regulations within the school environment.
  • Provide consultative guidance on mobility, accessibility, and adaptive equipment.

Qualifications:

  • Valid California Physical Therapy License (required).
  • Experience working as a physical therapist in school settings preferred.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills for interdisciplinary teamwork.
  • Knowledge of pediatric physical therapy techniques and developmental milestones.
  • Ability to manage time efficiently and maintain detailed clinical documentation.
