Key Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in California
- Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting preferred
- Proficiency in designing and implementing IEP-driven therapy plans
- Solid communication and interpersonal skills to interact with students, teachers, and parents
- Ability to work independently and manage a diverse caseload
- Strong organizational skills with attention to documenting progress and complying with school policies
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consultative physical therapy services to students, both in individual and group settings
- Develop individualized treatment plans aligned with students education goals
- Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
- Conduct evaluations and assessments, interpreting findings for families and education staff
- Provide training and support to educators and paraprofessionals regarding best practices for student mobility and physical access
- Maintain accurate records and regular progress reports in compliance with school guidelines
