Job Description

Make a direct impact in the lives of young adults as a part-time physical therapist in a supportive educational environment near Valley Center, CA. This contract opportunity invites you to collaborate with a dedicated team, delivering quality therapy services to students aged 18-22. Key Qualifications:

  • Active California Physical Therapist (CA PT) license required
  • Previous experience in a school or educational setting preferred
  • Comfortable working with young adults (18-22 years old)
  • Strong interpersonal and communication abilities
  • Ability to design, implement, and adapt therapeutic interventions in a school context

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide physical therapy assessments and direct intervention for students as specified in IEPs
  • Document progress and maintain clear, timely records for each student
  • Collaborate with educational staff, families, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic student support
  • Contribute to the development and evaluation of treatment plans to enhance students access to the educational environment
  • Educate staff and caregivers on strategies to maximize functional mobility and independence
  • Travel between locations if required for student needs (all within a reasonable local range)

Compensation for this position ranges from $32.00 to $85.00. Eligible candidates may also receive healthcare benefits, housing, and meals/incidentals. Full details of our healthcare benefits plan can be found here. This posting is open for 60 days after the posting date.
