Sunbelt Staffing has an opening for a Virtual Physical Therapist on a contract assignment for a school district in Illinois. This full-time teletherapy position supports PreK6th grade students for the current school year and runs from April 27, 2026 through June 4, 2026. The caseload includes just under 30 students with relatively low weekly service minutes, making this a manageable and structured short-term assignment for an experienced school-based PT.
This role is ideal for a Physical Therapist with prior school experience who is comfortable providing virtual services, collaborating with educational teams, and supporting student mobility and access in the school setting.
Responsibilities
- Provide virtual physical therapy services to PreK6th grade students
- Conduct evaluations, assessments, and progress monitoring
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and families
- Participate in IEP development and meetings as needed
- Maintain accurate documentation and service logs in compliance with district guidelines
Qualifications
- Active Illinois Physical Therapist license required
- Minimum of 2 years of school-based Physical Therapy experience required
- Previous teletherapy experience preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Reliable internet connection and professional remote workspace
Experience
- At least 2 years of prior school-based PT experience required
- Experience working with elementary-aged students preferred
Education
- Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or equivalent degree from an accredited program
Work Hours
- 36 contracted hours per week
- MondayFriday schedule based on district needs
