A full-time position is available for a Physical Therapist to provide specialized support within multiple elementary and charter schools in Tavares, FL. This contract role involves working with a diverse student population across several school sites, offering the opportunity to make a positive impact on students' physical development in a school setting. Candidates will have the flexibility to design their own schedules within the district's operational hours, collaborating alongside another Physical Therapist at each location.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver physical therapy services to students at multiple elementary and charter schools.
- Manage an average caseload of approximately 100 students across the school district.
- Coordinate with school staff and families to support individualized therapy plans.
- Adapt scheduling to meet the needs of varying schools while ensuring service consistency.
- Participate in the districts onboarding and compliance processes for credentialing and documentation.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Professional Physical Therapist license.
- School-based physical therapy experience preferred but not required.
- Ability to work full-time hours (37.5 hours per week including 30 minutes unpaid break).
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple school assignments.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with educators and families.
Location:
- On-site work required across multiple schools within the Lake County area, primarily in Tavares, FL. Schools supported include Umatilla Elementary, Spring Creek Charter, Sorrento Elementary, Triangle Elementary, Beverly Shores Elementary, Fruitland Park, Treadway Elementary, and Seminole Springs Elementary.
