Qualifications and Preferred Experience:
- State licensure (or eligibility) to practice as a Physical Therapist
- Prior experience in pediatric or school-based settings highly valued
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with educators, families, and students
- Ability to develop and implement individualized therapy plans
- Familiarity with IEPs and relevant school documentation (preferred)
- Compassionate approach to providing therapy for children with varying physical abilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and design tailored physical therapy interventions for students
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support each students educational goals
- Document all evaluations, treatment plans, and progress reports in compliance with school procedures
- Educate staff and caregivers on safe techniques and interventions for student mobility
- Engage actively in IEP meetings and provide input on appropriate therapy goals
- Monitor progress, adjust therapy plans as needed, and advocate for student needs in the school setting
