Job Description

Qualifications and Preferred Experience:

  • State licensure (or eligibility) to practice as a Physical Therapist
  • Prior experience in pediatric or school-based settings highly valued
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with educators, families, and students
  • Ability to develop and implement individualized therapy plans
  • Familiarity with IEPs and relevant school documentation (preferred)
  • Compassionate approach to providing therapy for children with varying physical abilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments and design tailored physical therapy interventions for students
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support each students educational goals
  • Document all evaluations, treatment plans, and progress reports in compliance with school procedures
  • Educate staff and caregivers on safe techniques and interventions for student mobility
  • Engage actively in IEP meetings and provide input on appropriate therapy goals
  • Monitor progress, adjust therapy plans as needed, and advocate for student needs in the school setting
