Seeking a dynamic Physical Therapist to deliver impactful therapy services within a school setting, supporting students from all grade levels. This contract position offers you the opportunity to collaborate with educators and families, playing a vital role in students' growth and development. Starting as soon as possible with your assignment extending through May 2027, your expertise will help shape positive outcomes for learners with diverse physical and functional needs.
Desired Qualifications:
- Active and valid Illinois Physical Therapy (PT) license
- Experience in school-based PT settings preferred
- Familiarity with delivering services across a broad range of age groups and abilities
- Ability to work onsite, engaging effectively with students, staff, and families
- Strong collaborative skills and commitment to inclusive educational environments
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Understanding of district and state-specific requirements such as professional licensure or certifications as applicable
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct physical therapy interventions and consultations for students across all grade levels
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and goals in coordination with IEP teams
- Conduct thorough evaluations, and document progress in compliance with school and state regulations
- Educate staff and families on student needs, adaptive strategies, and equipment
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to promote students access, participation, and independence within their educational environment
- Maintain accurate records and participate in case conferences as required
