Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Physical Therapy
• Active Michigan Physical Therapist license
• Preferred background in school-based or pediatric settings
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams
• Ability to assess, plan, and carry out effective therapy interventions tailored to the unique needs of students in various age groups

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct physical therapy services to students as outlined in their Individualized Education Program (IEP)
• Conduct student assessments and participate in eligibility meetings and IEP development
• Consult with teachers and staff on classroom modifications and strategies
• Maintain detailed documentation of student progress and communicate updates with parents and stakeholders
• Deliver training and support to school staff regarding safe positioning, transfers, and student equipment
• Manage a diverse caseload and adapt therapy approaches to accommodate each student's abilities and challenges
