Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Current licensure as a Physical Therapist
- Degree from an accredited program in Physical Therapy
- Experience or significant interest in working with pediatric populations
- Knowledge of school-based therapy practices, including IEP participation
- Strong ability to adapt interventions to diverse student needs
- Excellent communication, organization, and documentation skills
- Capacity to build positive relationships with students, families, and educators
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement individualized treatment plans for students with physical disabilities or delays
- Consult and collaborate with special education teams on strategies to support physical development
- Contribute expertise to IEP meetings and provide progress updates
- Deliver direct therapy and provide resources for teachers and families
- Assess student progress and document goals, modifications, and outcomes
- Educate staff and families on mobility techniques and adaptive equipment as needed
