Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a licensed Physical Therapist supporting students growth and success. This full-time role runs from August 13, 2026, through May 21, 2027, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., delivering services to students in an engaging school setting near Spring Lake, NC.

Youll work alongside dedicated education professionals to provide essential physical therapy services while collaborating with an interdisciplinary team. Candidates with prior school-based experience will find this role especially fulfilling, as familiarity with IEPs, progress monitoring, adaptive equipment, and supervising Physical Therapist Assistants are valued assets. An added advantage includes training in TPBA PreK assessments, as the school community is eager to welcome those bringing this skill set.

Key qualifications:

• Valid North Carolina Physical Therapist license
• Previous experience in a school setting strongly preferred
• Ability to deliver individualized treatment, conduct evaluations, and contribute to IEPs
• Competence in writing LMNs, monitoring progress, and managing school-based documentation
• Knowledge of classroom therapy equipment use and implementation
• Experience supervising at least one PTA
• Trained in or knowledgeable about TPBA PreK assessments (a plus)
• Availability for onsite services only

Your main responsibilities will include:

• Providing direct and consultative physical therapy to meet IEP goals
• Completing student assessments and documenting outcomes
• Participating in multidisciplinary IEP meetings
• Supervising PTAs in the delivery of therapy services
• Communicating progress to faculty, families, and outside providers
