Job Description

Desired Qualifications:

  • Valid license as a Physical Therapist
  • Experience working with children or adolescents, ideally in a school-based or pediatric healthcare setting
  • Strong understanding of individualized education plans (IEPs) and ability to develop and implement therapy goals
  • Creative approach to adapting activities and environments for diverse learners
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to partner with staff, students, and families

Responsibilities:

  • Assess students motor skills and physical abilities to determine therapy needs
  • Develop and execute individualized treatment plans aligned with educational goals
  • Deliver direct physical therapy services to students as outlined in their IEPs
  • Document progress, maintain organized records, and provide input for multidisciplinary meetings
  • Train and consult with teachers and school staff to integrate therapeutic strategies into classrooms
  • Educate families about at-home activities to promote student achievement and well-being
