Job Description

A contract position is available for a Physical Therapist to support K-12 students in a Seattle, WA school setting. This role involves delivering specialized physical therapy services that promote student mobility, independence, and overall well-being throughout the academic year.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments to identify students physical therapy needs within the school environment
  • Develop and implement individualized therapy plans tailored to K-12 students
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to integrate therapy goals into daily activities and classroom routines
  • Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports in compliance with educational and healthcare standards
  • Provide consultation and recommendations for adaptive equipment or modifications as needed

Desired Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid Physical Therapy license suitable for school-based practice
  • Experience working with pediatric populations in K-12 educational settings preferred
  • Knowledge of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and 504 plans
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills to coordinate with interdisciplinary partners
  • Ability to engage students and encourage participation in therapy activities
