Make a difference in the lives of students as a school-based Physical Therapist in a dynamic contract role starting this August. Perfect for professionals eager to work on-site in a supportive educational environment, this opportunity offers you the chance to work across multiple school sites, primarily serving elementary-aged students. Your expertise will help students maximize their physical potential and ensure greater access to learning and participation in school activities.

What were looking for:

• Masters or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy
• Valid Florida Physical Therapist license (FL DOH)
• Prior experience with pediatric or school-based populations is strongly preferred
• Comfortable working itinerantly with a caseload of approximately 40 students (primarily elementary, PK-12)
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to partner with teachers, parents, and school staff
• Fingerprinting and credentialing through AHCA Clearinghouse (or eligibility), with clear background history
• Availability for a part-time schedule: 22.5 hours per week (7.5-hour days), August 11, 2026, through June 1, 2027
• Must be able to work on-site (this is not a virtual role)

Key responsibilities:

• Evaluate, plan, and implement individualized physical therapy interventions for students with diverse needs
• Participate in IEP meetings and maintain thorough documentation on student progress
• Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to create inclusive educational environments
• Travel between multiple school sites within the district as part of your itinerant assignment
