In this role, youll collaborate with educators and multidisciplinary teams to help students overcome physical challenges and achieve their educational goals. Your dedication will foster student independence, development, and participation in school activities.
Qualifications & Desired Background:
- Active California Physical Therapist license required.
- Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric setting preferred.
- Excellent communication skills for working with students, families, and staff.
- Skilled at evaluating, planning, and delivering direct therapy.
- Comfortable working onsite and traveling to multiple school campuses as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to develop individualized therapy plans.
- Deliver direct and consultative services to students per IEP requirements.
- Collaborate with special education teams, teachers, and other specialists.
- Maintain thorough documentation of therapy sessions, progress, and outcomes.
- Educate staff and families on strategies to support student mobility and posture in classroom settings.
- Contribute to IEP meetings and student progress reviews.
