Job Description

A physical therapy position is available within a K-12 school district in San Juan Capistrano, CA, supporting students from preschool through high school. This role is designed to cover a maternity leave and runs through the end of the current school year, offering approximately 20 to 30 hours per week with some flexibility. The caseload currently includes around 35 students, with roughly 20 billable hours weekly, which may fluctuate.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing physical therapy services to students across multiple schools within the district
  • Collaborating with educators, parents, and healthcare providers to develop and implement individualized treatment plans
  • Monitoring student progress and adjusting interventions as necessary
  • Maintaining accurate records and documentation in compliance with school policies and regulations
  • Participating in team meetings and contributing to multidisciplinary approaches for student care

Qualifications and experience desired:

  • Master's degree in Physical Therapy
  • Active California Physical Therapy license
  • Experience working in school-based physical therapy settings preferred
  • Ability to work onsite full-time or part-time with a flexible schedule
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

This is an onsite position with no remote or hybrid work options. The contract starts as soon as possible and continues through June of the school year. The role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the educational and physical development of children across a broad age range.
