This role offers 10-12 on-site hours per week, perfect for professionals seeking flexibility and work-life balance while dedicating their skills to help children achieve their physical milestones. As the sole physical therapist for this position, you'll have the opportunity to design and implement interventions tailored to a vibrant student caseload at the end of the school year.
Qualifications:
- Active State of California Physical Therapist License required
- Previous experience working in school-based settings or with pediatric populations is highly valued
- Passion for fostering student development and adapting strategies to individual needs
- Confidence managing a varied elementary caseload independently
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with school staff and families
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate students and develop personalized plans of care that foster participation and success in school activities
- Deliver therapeutic services directly to students on-site
- Monitor, document, and report progress on student goals
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support integrated learning experiences
- Provide guidance on adaptive equipment, positioning, or movement strategies as needed
