Job Description

Make a meaningful impact in the lives of students as a contract physical therapist within an engaging school environment. This role offers the opportunity to support children and adolescents from elementary through high school levels. You'll work collaboratively with educators and families to enhance student mobility, access, and participation in their educational experience.

Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Physical Therapy required
  • Valid Minnesota physical therapist license
  • Previous school-based or pediatric physical therapy experience preferred
  • Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with students, staff, and families
  • Adaptable approach to working in diverse educational settings

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify students' physical needs within the school environment
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans geared toward supporting academic goals
  • Deliver direct and consultative therapy services for students across a range of age groups
  • Work closely with teachers and special education staff to integrate therapeutic strategies into daily routines
  • Monitor student progress and document outcomes in compliance with educational standards
  • Attend IEP meetings and provide expertise in goal-setting and accommodations
