Job Description

This contract role involves providing on-site physical therapy services within an established school district near Saint Augustine, FL. Youll cover a key 12-week maternity leave at the start of the upcoming school year, and there is potential to begin working during the extended summer session.

Youll have the chance to collaborate with educators, families, and support staff. Your expertise will help students thrive and reach their goals in a dynamic, educational environment. Itinerant support across more than one campus is likely, allowing for variety in your caseload and daily responsibilities.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Active Florida Department of Health Physical Therapist license required
  • Previous school-based physical therapy experience preferred
  • Fingerprint clearance through the AHCA Clearinghouse (recent valid prints may transfer)
  • Ability to secure a JLA badge (can take up to 10 business days after clearance)
  • Comfortable providing therapy across different age groups (specific caseload to be determined)
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct and consultative physical therapy services to students
  • Develop individualized treatment plans and maintain documentation
  • Support IEP meetings and contribute goals as needed
  • Travel between assigned school sites as an itinerant therapist
  • Communicate progress with teachers, parents, and interdisciplinary teams
  • Ensure compliance with district and state requirements
