What Were Looking For:
- Valid Physical Therapy (PT) license in California
- Previous pediatric or school-based physical therapy experience strongly preferred
- Strong knowledge of IEP process, documentation, and goal-setting
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with students, educators, and families
- Ability to conduct assessments and create individualized intervention plans
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to efficiently manage a caseload
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide physical therapy services to students in accordance with their IEPs and individual needs
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations to determine students physical strengths and areas of improvement
- Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams, including special education staff and families, to develop and implement treatment strategies
- Document student progress, maintain accurate records, and adjust interventions as needed
- Educate school staff and caregivers on safe practices and procedures for student mobility and equipment use
- Participate in IEP meetings, provide input on goals, and communicate regularly with families
