Key Qualifications:
- Valid licensure as a Physical Therapist (PT) in California
- Previous experience working with children or adolescents, preferably in a school environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with educators, students, and families
- Ability to assess, develop, and implement individualized treatment plans
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities
- Understanding of educational regulations and documentation standards for school-based therapy
Core Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations to determine students needs for physical therapy services
- Develop and implement customized intervention plans to support student mobility, motor skills, and participation in school activities
- Monitor and record progress, adjusting plans as necessary based on ongoing assessment
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and parents to promote student success
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute professional insight for student support plans
- Maintain thorough, timely documentation in compliance with school policies and state guidelines
- Provide consultative services for classroom modifications and adaptive equipment as needed
