An exciting opportunity awaits for a dedicated Physical Therapist to positively impact young learners in a supportive, school-based setting. This contract position focuses on delivering part-time physical therapy services to a small caseload of children aged 3 to 4 as part of an Early Interventionist team. Services are provided onsite, offering the chance to work closely with educators and families, and contribute to meaningful developmental milestones during the 20262027 academic year.
Key Qualifications:
- Active and valid Louisiana Physical Therapy license (required)
- Experience in school-based or pediatric physical therapy preferred, especially with early childhood populations
- Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and families
- Compassionate, patient-centered approach to supporting each childs growth and development
- Strong time management and organizational skills, ideal for part-time and flexible scheduling
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct physical therapy interventions and assessments for a limited number of preschool-aged students as part of an Early Interventionist team
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans tailored to each students needs and IEP goals
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports in compliance with school and state guidelines
- Participate in team meetings and consult with teachers, families, and related service professionals to optimize student success
- Contribute expertise to support early intervention strategies and adapt to evolving caseload requirements throughout the school year
