A contract opportunity is available for a Physical Therapist in a school setting located in Rock Falls, IL. This position involves working closely with special education staff to support students Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals throughout the current school year. Candidates will engage directly in therapy sessions, participate in IEP meetings, and conduct evaluations for students ranging from kindergarten to 12th grade.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct physical therapy services to students within the school environment
- Collaborate with special education professionals to develop and implement IEP goals
- Participate in evaluations and progress monitoring to adjust therapy plans accordingly
- Attend and contribute to IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions
Qualifications:
- Active Physical Therapist license in the state of Illinois
- Previous experience in school-based or pediatric physical therapy preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with students, families, and educational staff
- Ability to manage caseload and documentation in compliance with school policies and regulations
