Step into an impactful contract assignment as a Physical Therapist supporting a dynamic student caseload from kindergarten through age 22. This position offers a chance to provide essential therapy services within a vibrant educational setting, delivering onsite care during a key maternity leave coverage period.

Youll work closely with educational teams to promote student independence, functional movement, and participation in school routines. The assignment is scheduled to run from May 18, 2026, through June 25, 2026, with a full-time MondayFriday schedule totaling 35 hours per week. Theres also the potential to extend your impact by combining this role with summer services, offering an exciting opportunity for those interested in longer-term involvement.

Qualifications/Desired Experience:

• Current and valid Physical Therapist license for New York State (must be attached to your application, along with your resume)
• Background working in a school environment and/or serving populations with diverse developmental or physical needs is strongly preferred
• Strong collaboration, communication, and documentation skills
• Commitment to providing inclusive, student-centered therapy in a multidisciplinary team
• Adept at building rapport with students, families, and educators
• Experience with caseloads spanning K22 is a plus

Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized and group physical therapy sessions to students as outlined in their education plans
• Assess, document, and report student progress in line with district and state requirements
• Collaborate with staff and families to ensure carry-over of strategies and support across school and home environments
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to IEP development and updates
• Maintain accurate, confidential records and therapy logs
