Job Description

Step into a meaningful role supporting students of all ages across several schools as a contract Physical Therapist. This opportunity includes an Extended School Year (ESY) assignment from July 8 through July 30, 2026, and a full-time schedule for the upcoming academic year beginning August 13, 2026, through May 28, 2027. Your Monday through Friday workweek runs from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. (35 hours per week), allowing you to maintain a steady and manageable routine.

Your expertise will be shared among a collaborative PT/PTA team as you travel between school sites, supporting a manageable caseload of approximately 50 students. Assignments include interacting with students from Pre-K through high school, and every effort will be made to cluster your school visits closely together. Mileage reimbursement is provided for travel between locations.

Key Qualifications:

  • Current licensure as a Physical Therapist
  • Experience in school-based physical therapy strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with early intervention practices and TPBA (Transdisciplinary Play-Based Assessment) certification is a plus but not required
  • Must complete fingerprinting to work with Pre-K students
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage travel between sites
  • Passion for working with children across a range of developmental stages

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver assessment, therapy, and consultation services to students throughout multiple school campuses
  • Collaborate with teaching and support staff to develop individualized plans
  • Conduct Pre-K evaluations when qualified/certified
  • Maintain thorough documentation to support educational plans and progress
  • Foster a positive, supportive, and inclusive therapy environment
