Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid Physical Therapy license in the state
- Previous experience as a Physical Therapist in a school, pediatric, or similar setting
- Understanding of IEP documentation and compliance
- Ability to work collaboratively with educators, families, and other support staff
- Strong communication and organization skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct physical therapy services to students as outlined in individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Conduct assessments and develop measurable goals for students physical mobility and access to curriculum
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute recommendations for accommodations or equipment
- Collaborate with teachers, nursing staff, and related service professionals to integrate therapy goals into students school routines
- Maintain accurate records of sessions, progress, and required documentation in compliance with district and state guidelines
