Located near vibrant Portsmouth, VA, this opportunity is perfect for professionals passionate about making a meaningful impact across multiple school sites. This position begins on 8/11/26 and continues through 5/29/27, with a consistent weekly schedule of 37.5 hours.

Youll engage with a diverse student population, collaborating with educators and families to deliver essential physical therapy services. The itinerant nature of the assignment allows you to nurture students growth and development across several schools within the district.

What Youll Bring:

• Valid Virginia Physical Therapist license (required)
• Experience with school-age children, K-12 preferred
• Ability to manage an itinerant caseload and standard PT responsibilities
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Commitment to supporting inclusive educational environments

What Youll Do:

• Deliver evaluations, develop individualized treatment plans, and implement therapy for students in line with IEP goals
• Document progress, maintain detailed records, and participate in team meetings
• Advise school staff and families on strategies to promote student movement, participation, and independence
• Mentor and collaborate with support personnel as needed
• Navigate the school environment professionally and efficiently

• Start date: 8/11/26; end date: 5/29/27
• Full-time schedule: 37.5 hours per week
• Itinerant position serving multiple schools, K-12 caseload
• In-person services only (no virtual/remote PT)
• Panel-style virtual interview; district offers decisions within 48 hours
• Fingerprinting and onboarding required prior to first day
