Job Description

Bring your expertise as a Physical Therapist to make a positive impact in educational settings, supporting students development and well-being throughout the school year. This full-time contract position runs for 12 weeks, covering a maternity leave, and offers a unique, itinerant opportunity across multiple school sites in the area. Youll potentially have the chance to extend your impact during the summer session, with exact caseload and school assignments to be confirmed.

In this on-site role, youll work collaboratively with educators, families, and support staff to deliver high-quality physical therapy services for studentsensuring every childs unique needs are met.

What you bring:

  • Valid and active Physical Therapist license issued by the Florida Department of Health
  • Previous experience working in a school-based environment is highly desirable
  • Ability to be flexible with assignments and comfortable working across multiple campuses as needed
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and time-management skills
  • Strong commitment to ethical standards and meeting deadlines for credentialing, including fingerprint clearance and JLA badge acquisition

In this critical support role, responsibilities include:

  • Conducting assessments to determine students needs and developing individualized treatment plans
  • Providing direct physical therapy interventions for pre-K through high school students (final caseload and ages to be confirmed)
  • Documenting and tracking student progress in line with district and state guidelines
  • Collaborating with teachers, administrators, and families to integrate therapy goals into students education
  • Participating in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions as required
