What were seeking:
- Completion of a Master's degree in Physical Therapy
- Active and current Physical Therapist license issued by the state of Louisiana
- Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric setting preferred
- Ability to design and adapt therapeutic strategies for a diverse K-12 population
- Strong communication skills to consult with educators, families, and other professionals
- Passion for fostering inclusion, independence, and growth in children and adolescents
Key responsibilities:
- Provide evaluations, develop plans of care, and deliver direct therapy to students as identified by IEPs and referrals
- Collaborate with teachers and school staff to support classroom performance and student participation
- Document assessment findings, progress notes, and maintain compliance with state and district requirements
- Educate families and staff on mobility supports, adaptive equipment, and strategies for improving students motor functioning
- Participate in IEP meetings, multidisciplinary team discussions, and professional development opportunities as needed
- Contribute your expertise to creating accessible, supportive learning environments
