Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid state license as a Physical Therapist
- Experience working with pediatric or school-aged populations preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for working with students, staff, and families
- Ability to develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Proficiency with relevant assessment tools and documentation practices
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to identify students physical therapy needs within the school setting
- Develop and implement individualized therapy goals in coordination with educational staff and parents
- Deliver direct and consultative physical therapy services to support student access to their educational environment
- Monitor progress and maintain clear, compliant documentation of services provided
- Collaborate with other school professionals to plan interventions that promote student success
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of educational plans
- Provide training and support to teachers and support staff as needed
