Job Description

Step into an impactful opportunity supporting students as a contract school-based Physical Therapist for the upcoming academic year. Located near vibrant Palo Alto, CA, this onsite position provides the chance to work with a K-12 caseload in a supportive, collaborative educational environment. With a manageable weekly schedule of 10-20 hours, youll enjoy a rewarding work-life balance while directly influencing students growth and development.

As a valued team member, your focus will be serving a caseload of up to 20 studentsdelivering therapy, conducting assessments, and contributing to Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) in close partnership with school staff and families. The specific student assignments will be determined after your interview to best match your expertise with school needs.

Qualifications:

  • Valid California Physical Therapist license required.
  • Previous school-based or pediatric PT experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with IEP development, goal writing, and therapy documentation.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Ability to manage a dynamic K-12 caseload.
  • Dedication to fostering student independence and participation in school routines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide physical therapy services to a diverse K-12 caseload.
  • Complete assessments and evaluations as part of IEP teams.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
  • Accurately document progress and maintain compliance with state and district policies.
  • Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student outcomes.
