Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Current license to practice as a Physical Therapist in California
• Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric environment strongly preferred
• In-depth knowledge of PT interventions in educational settings
• Ability to develop individualized therapy plans and adapt activities for diverse student needs
• Effective communication skills to liaise with school teams, families, and students
• Organized, self-motivated, and able to thrive in a collaborative atmosphere

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct and consultative physical therapy services to students according to IEPs and education plans
• Complete comprehensive assessments, document progress, and maintain accurate records
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to promote student mobility, participation, and classroom access
• Educate staff and caregivers, providing strategies to facilitate functional skill development
• Participate actively in IEP meetings, offering professional input for student goals and accommodations
• Ensure compliance with state, federal, and school-specific PT guidelines
