Desired Skills & Experience:

  • Valid state licensure as a Physical Therapist (PT)
  • Prior experience in school settings preferred, but new graduates are encouraged to apply
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with students, staff, and families
  • Understanding of pediatric physical therapy principles
  • Ability to develop and implement individualized treatment plans
  • Adaptability and organizational skills to manage caseloads in a dynamic environment

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments to determine students' motor skills and physical therapy needs
  • Develop and execute individualized intervention plans supporting students movement, strength, and classroom participation
  • Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and parents to support students goals in the school environment
  • Document progress, maintain required records, and prepare reports for IEP meetings
  • Provide direct therapy services both individually and in small groups as appropriate
  • Educate school staff and families in adaptive strategies and safe mobility
