A Physical Therapist opportunity is available in Olympia, WA, to provide specialized therapy services within a school setting. This contract position focuses on supporting students' physical development and functional abilities, collaborating with educational staff to create effective treatment plans tailored to individual needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver physical therapy assessments and interventions to students with diverse needs
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with educational goals
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student progress
- Maintain accurate documentation of therapy sessions and student progress
- Participate in meetings and contribute to the development of 504 plans and IEPs as needed
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
- Licensed Physical Therapist (PT) with current credentials to practice in Washington State
- Experience working in school or pediatric settings preferred
- Knowledge of educational regulations and special education processes is a plus
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with children and school staff
- Ability to adapt therapy approaches to meet the unique needs of each student
