Job Description

Providing physical therapy services within a K-12 school setting, this full-time, itinerant role requires delivering support to students across multiple schools throughout the county. The position involves managing a caseload of approximately 40 active students and consultations, covering various age groups in a dynamic educational environment. The schedule consists of an 8-hour day with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver physical therapy interventions aligned with individualized education plans (IEPs) for students in kindergarten through 12th grade.
  • Travel between multiple school locations as needed to provide direct therapy services and consultations.
  • Collaborate closely with educators, parents, and other professionals to support student progress and adapt therapy plans.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and progress notes following district guidelines.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to student evaluations and planning.

Qualifications:

  • Professional licensure in physical therapy is required.
  • Experience working within school-based settings, preferably with K-12 students.
  • Ability to manage an itinerant caseload and adapt to various school environments.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Commitment to supporting student success through therapeutic services.

Location: Tavares, FL
