Step into a dynamic and rewarding role as a Physical Therapist supporting students across multiple schools in the San Francisco Bay Area for the upcoming academic year. This contract opportunity spans from August 11, 2026, through June 2, 2027, offering you the chance to make a meaningful impact on student well-being and mobility needs.
As an itinerant professional, you will work districtwide with students from early childhood through transition ages. With smaller individual caseloads at each location, you'll have the unique experience of building relationships at up to a dozen school sites, focusing your expertise where its needed mostall in an on-site setting that emphasizes collaboration and hands-on care.
Desired Qualifications:
- Active Physical Therapist license in California
- Prior experience in a school-based or pediatric setting preferred
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to travel districtwide to multiple campuses as assigned
- Collaborative approach to interdisciplinary teamwork
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver evidence-based physical therapy services to students ages EC-transition
- Develop and implement individualized therapy programs in coordination with IEP teams
- Assess, document, and report student progress toward therapeutic goals
- Educate staff and families on strategies to support student mobility and function
- Travel between assigned schools to provide consistent, high-quality service
