Desired Qualifications:
- Masters Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution
- Active Illinois Physical Therapy license (IL PT)
- Experience working with children or within educational settings preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for effective interaction with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to develop individualized treatment plans that support diverse student needs
- Organizational skills to manage caseload and documentation efficiently
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct physical therapy services to K-12 students based on individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Collaborate with teachers, school administrators, and other specialists to support students educational and therapy goals
- Assess, document, and report student progress, modifying goals and interventions as needed
- Consult with families and school staff to ensure a coordinated approach to student development
- Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations governing PT services in a school setting
- Participate in IEP meetings, contributing expertise to support each student's academic and functional advancement
