Desired qualifications and experience:

• Licensed Physical Therapist with a current credential in New York State
• Experience working with children and youth in school or pediatric settings preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with students, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
• Ability to create and implement effective, individualized therapy plans
• Familiarity with IEP documentation and progress reporting
• Adaptable and committed to fostering a positive learning environment

Key responsibilities:

• Evaluate students to determine physical therapy needs/goals within an educational context
• Develop and execute individualized therapeutic interventions supporting academic access and participation
• Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and families to provide guidance on classroom modifications and safe mobility
• Monitor, document, and report on student progress, updating plans as needed
• Attend and contribute to IEP meetings as part of the student support team
• Provide training to school staff on pertinent topics such as equipment use and injury prevention
