Ideal Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid licensure as a Physical Therapist in California
- Previous experience working in schools or with pediatric populations is a plus
- Strong skills in assessment, treatment, and documentation
- Excellent communication abilities with students, staff, and families
- Adaptable, with a creative approach to delivering therapeutic interventions
- Dedicated to fostering student independence and facilitating their educational goals
Core Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to determine students' physical therapy needs
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to support physical mobility and participation
- Collaborate with educators, support staff, and families to create optimal learning environments
- Document progress and participate in IEP meetings to provide insight on student achievement
- Utilize evidence-based practices to maximize student engagement and outcomes
- Serve as a resource for school staff on strategies for movement and accessibility within the classroom
