Bring your expertise in physical therapy to a dynamic school environment for the upcoming academic year! Full-time contract positions are available serving students in a supportive and collaborative setting. Two fulfilling caseloads are open: one for early intervention (11-month calendar) and one serving K-12 students throughout the typical school year.
Youll be a valued member of the team, working closely with educators and families to deliver impactful physical therapy services near Mechanicsville, MD. The role begins August 10, 2026 and concludes June 17, 2027, ensuring a comprehensive experience through the school year.
Desired Qualifications:
- Current and active Maryland Physical Therapy license (MD PT License)
- Experience in school-based or pediatric settings highly preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to organize and manage a full-time caseload
- Passion for helping students achieve their full physical and functional potential
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and indirect physical therapy services to students according to individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Collaborate with teachers, other specialists, and families to integrate therapy goals into the school curriculum
- Evaluate students needs and document progress, adjusting intervention strategies as needed
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the multidisciplinary team
- Maintain compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and district policies
