Job Description

Enhance the educational journey of students by providing expert physical therapy services in a dynamic school environment near Mattawan, MI. In this contract role, you will support the development and growth of students from pre-K through 12th grade, working closely with educators and families to cultivate an inclusive and empowering learning atmosphere.

What Makes You an Excellent Fit:

  • Valid and active Michigan Physical Therapist license
  • Experienced working with pediatric or school-based populations
  • Strong communication skills for collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, students, and families
  • Familiarity with IEP processes and best practices in school-based physical therapy
  • Ability to adapt therapy plans to meet a diverse range of student needs

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct therapy services and design tailored interventions for students across a broad age range
  • Assess motor skills and functional movement to support students academic and physical growth
  • Contribute to IEP meetings and provide progress updates for staff and families
  • Maintain meticulous records in compliance with state and federal guidelines
  • Promote mobility and participate in the creation of supportive classroom environments
  • Consult with educators and caregivers to enhance students functional success at school
