Job Description

Inspire students through movement and make a positive difference as an Adaptive Physical Education Teacher. This contract role focuses on supporting students with diverse abilities, helping them develop physical skills, confidence, and a love of physical activity. Located near Mason, MI, you'll collaborate closely with educators, therapists, and families to ensure every student has the opportunity to participate and thrive in the schools physical education programs.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid Physical Education teacher certification, with an endorsement or specialization in Adaptive Physical Education
  • Experience working with children and adolescents who have diverse physical, cognitive, or developmental needs
  • Familiarity with IEP development, progress monitoring, and implementation
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to adapt activities and curriculum to various ability levels
  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive, and engaging learning environment
