Job Description

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Valid Physical Therapist (PT) license for Washington State
  • Prior experience in a school-based or pediatric therapy setting preferred
  • Comprehensive knowledge of individualized education plans (IEPs), student goal setting, and progress documentation
  • Strong collaboration skills for working with multidisciplinary teams
  • Ability to adapt therapy strategies to meet diverse learning and physical needs
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide skilled physical therapy to students ranging in age and need, focusing on improving mobility, strength, and participation in school activities
  • Assess students, develop treatment plans, and document progress in accordance with educational goals
  • Attend and participate in IEP team meetings, contributing insights for students success
  • Educate school staff and families on strategies and accommodations to help students thrive
  • Maintain detailed records and ensure all interventions align with school and district protocols
  • Adapt therapy materials as needed for success across multiple environments within the school
