Job Description

Key Qualifications:

  • Certification as a licensed Physical Therapist (PT) in the state
  • Prior experience delivering PT services in an educational or pediatric setting preferred
  • Strong understanding of IEP processes and school documentation
  • Excellent communication and collaborative skills with students, staff, and families
  • Ability to adapt therapy techniques to meet diverse student needs
  • Commitment to ongoing professional growth and evidence-based practice

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive PT assessments for students referred by school staff or parents
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in alignment with IEP goals
  • Collaborate with teachers and other service providers to integrate therapy into the classroom
  • Monitor and document student progress, adjusting interventions as necessary
  • Participate and contribute in IEP meetings, providing clear recommendations and reports
  • Educate staff and families on supportive strategies and exercises for students
  • Maintain compliance with all school and state requirements for reporting and documentation
