Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting students as a Physical Therapist in a vibrant school environment near Lusby, MD! This contract role offers the chance to collaborate closely with educators and families to foster students' physical development and maximize their learning potential.
We are seeking skilled professionals for two exciting openingsone dedicated to Early Intervention (an 11-month assignment), and another serving K-12 students. Both arefull-time roles, running from August 10, 2026, through June 17, 2027.
Qualifications:
- Valid Physical Therapy license issued by the state of Maryland
- Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric physical therapy setting preferred
- Strong knowledge of IEP development and progress monitoring
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Comfortable working with diverse student populations
- Ability to adapt plans to meet individual student needs
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments for students requiring physical therapy services
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized therapy plans
- Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to support students IEP goals
- Document evaluation results, treatment plans, and progress reports in compliance with district and state guidelines
- Foster positive relationships with students, staff, and families to ensure supportive learning environments
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide input for students educational planning
