Job Description

A part-time Physical Therapist position is available to support students from kindergarten through 8th grade in a school setting near Lowell, MA. This role offers approximately 10 hours per week with mileage reimbursement and involves working with a caseload of seven students. The ideal candidate will hold a valid Massachusetts Physical Therapy license and be ready to collaborate within a multidisciplinary educational team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct physical therapy services to students, tailoring interventions to meet individual IEP goals.
  • Participate in IEP meetings, scheduled flexibly on days the PT works, to discuss student progress and treatment plans.
  • Utilize the ESPED platform for documentation and reporting.
  • Work with available PT equipment and adapt interventions appropriately, understanding that students currently do not require wheelchairs or assistive devices.
  • Complete fingerprinting and CORI background checks as part of mandatory compliance.

Qualifications:

  • Current, valid license in Physical Therapy for the state of Massachusetts.
  • Experience working with school-aged children, preferably from kindergarten to middle school.
  • Ability to manage a small caseload efficiently with attention to individualized student needs.
  • Familiarity with IEP processes and educational documentation systems, particularly ESPED.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

  • Situated near Lowell, MA, with a focus on supporting students within the local school community.

This contract role provides an opportunity to contribute specialized therapy services that impact students educational experiences directly. Mileage reimbursement is included to support travel to the site.
