This contract opportunity offers the chance to positively impact children and adolescents in a collaborative educational environment. Located near Loving, NM, youll have the opportunity to work with diverse age groups and a supportive school staff.
Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Physical Therapy is required
- Valid and active Physical Therapist license for the state of New Mexico
- Previous school-based or pediatric experience preferred
- Strong communication skills and an adaptable approach for working with students, teachers, and parents
- Ability to conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and document progress accurately
- Collaborates effectively in a multidisciplinary team setting
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct physical therapy services to students across elementary, middle, and high school settings
- Administer evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans to support students educational needs
- Collaborate with special education teams and educators to integrate therapy goals into student IEPs
- Educate staff and families on best practices for supporting students motor development and mobility
- Maintain thorough and accurate records of student progress and related documentation
- Promote a positive and inclusive environment for all students receiving therapy
- Attend IEP meetings and contribute meaningful insights regarding student progress and needs
