Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Physical Therapy license for the state of Kentucky
- Previous experience in an educational or pediatric setting preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities
- Ability to adapt interventions based on individual student needs
- Familiarity with documentation standards and goal-setting within IEPs
- Commitment to ethical, student-focused care
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify students physical therapy needs
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans
- Collaborate with teachers, aides, and families to maximize student participation and achievement in school activities
- Maintain thorough and timely records, including progress reports and required documentation
- Provide direct therapy sessions, both one-on-one and in group settings
- Educate staff and parents on strategies to support students physical development within the classroom
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute expert recommendations for student services
