Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Current Physical Therapist (PT) license issued by the state of California
- Previous experience providing physical therapy within a school or pediatric setting preferred
- Understanding of IEP development, implementation, and compliance
- Strong ability to work independently and as part of an educational team
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess students physical development and motor skills to determine needs and eligibility for services
- Develop and implement personalized treatment plans and goals to help students access the curriculum
- Collaborate closely with teachers, administrators, and family members to integrate therapy into classroom activities
- Monitor and document student progress, providing feedback and recommendations during IEP meetings
- Educate staff and families on strategies to support students physical growth and participation
- Maintain accurate therapy records and adhere to district and legal guidelines
