Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Active and valid California Physical Therapist (PT) license
  • Prior experience in a school-based or pediatric healthcare setting preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with educators, families, and students
  • Familiarity with IEP documentation, interventions, and therapy planning
  • PTA experience or supervisory experience with PTAs a plus

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and implement individualized treatment plans to support student mobility, coordination, and physical access in the school environment
  • Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and parents to ensure therapy goals are aligned with student academic needs
  • Provide direct PT services, monitor student progress, and document outcomes according to school protocols
  • Train and oversee Physical Therapy Assistants (PTAs) as appropriate
  • Support the development and implementation of adaptive physical education activities
