A temporary opportunity is available for a licensed Physical Therapist (PT) to provide specialized therapy services within a school setting in Littleton, CO. This contract role offers a focused caseload serving students from kindergarten through eighth grade and is set to begin as soon as possible, continuing through the end of the school year.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and indirect physical therapy interventions aligned with students Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) or Section 504 plans.
- Assess and monitor gross motor skills, mobility, strength, balance, coordination, and postural control in K-8 students.
- Collaborate closely with teachers, school staff, parents, and special education teams to enhance student participation and inclusion in educational activities.
- Develop, implement, and adapt therapy plans, incorporating adaptive equipment and assistive technologies as needed.
- Maintain detailed documentation of therapy progress and actively participate in IEP/504 meetings and other school initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Masters Degree in Physical Therapy or related field.
- Current Physical Therapist license issued by the appropriate state licensing board.
- Experience or comfort working within a school-based therapy environment is highly valued.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with students, families, and school teams.
Work Schedule and Location:
- Based onsite in Littleton, CO.
- Approximately 1.5 hours per week (.033 FTE).
